Alipurduar District Chess Championship

Alipurduar District Chess Association conducted "Alipurduar District Chess Championship" on 18th September, 2022 under the auspices of SBDS. It was a well-organized and nice tournament and players enjoyed playing here. It must be appreciated that after a long gap, they became very active and organized the tournament most energetically. Sri Liltu Ghosh, Sri Dulal Ghosh, Sri Jyotirmoy Sengupta, Sri Kalyanbrata Roy and other office bearers of Alipurduar District Chess Association devoted their time and energy to make this event successful. The technical side was handled by Sri Sulov Rai, Sri Dipankar De Sarkar and Sri Subrata Dam. It is praiseworthy that the District Chess Associations of Jalpaiguri, Darjeeling and Coochbehar extended their helping hands to make the tournament most successful. More than 50 participants took part in this event. Jyotishko Sengupta became the Champion and Sri Srijan Sarkar became the Runner up.
