All Bengal Open Rapid Chess Tournament

Our affiliated unit Kolkata District Chess Association organized an "All Bengal Open Rapid Chess Tournament" at Sahid Smriti Sangha, Dhakuria on 17th & 18th September, 2022 under the auspices of SBDS. The tournament was a grand success with the participation of 228 players, most of which were age-group players. There were cash prizes of Rs.53,000/- and 78 Trophies for age-group players, Sr. Citizens & Women players. Lunch was provided for all the players on 18th September. The technical aspects were handled by IA Sri Debasish Barua, IA Sri Asit B. Choudhury and their team. After 8 rounds of games under Swiss League system, Sri Anustoop Biswas became the unbeaten Champion with 7.5 points and Sri Agnivo Chakraborty became Runner up with 7 points. The prizes were distributed by Dr. Sujoy Biswas, CEO, Techno India, Sri T. K. Sengupta, President, KDCA, Sri Atin Sengupta, Working President, KDCA, Sri Shyamol Datta, Secretary, SBDS, Sri Arunava Das and others. The whole program was appreciated by all the players and guardians. Mr Anustoop Biswas became topper of All Bengal Open Rapid Chess Championship organised by Kolkata District Chess Association held on 17th & 18th September,2022 at Sahid Smriti Sangha
